Although Chevrolet marketed it as a sporty coupe, the first-generation Chevy II’s image was that of an economical sedan. But when muscle car and hot rod enthusiasts realized the car’s performance potential thanks to easy engine swap capabilities and light weight, the Chevy II’s reputation changed. This particular Chevy II takes that approach to an extreme, as it touts a swapped-in 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission, along with other extensive modifications like Wilwood disc brakes, fiberglass body panels, and a Ridetech coilover suspension setup. This Nova is also titled for road use, which further enhances the appeal for anyone seeking a combination of custom style and thrilling power.

  • This Chevy II has been extensively modified for racing. Its factory-fitted drivetrain has reportedly been replaced by a General Motors-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission.
